Since 1987, the Steuben County Literacy Coalition has empowered over 3000 men, women, and children through literacy and lifelong learning. We would like to share a few words with you too.

Our Mission
The purpose of the Steuben County Literacy Coalition shall be to function as a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising the literacy level of those living and/or working in Steuben County and to provide opportunities for lifelong learning.

Our Vision
To ensure a fully literate community through free and easy access to one-stop adult education programs, comprehensive family literacy programs, supplemental educational opportunities for school-age children and life and work skills training designed to assist individuals reach their full potential.

Our Philosophy
We believe that it is the inalienable right of every man, woman and child to pursue his or her full potential. We also believe that only through fully developed literacy skills and a commitment to lifelong learning, can one reach full potential.
